So I started off my biking life as a bmx trickster almost two decades ago. I ended up breaking two ribs while trying to do a back flip, and that simply ended my time riding in which i thought would be forever. Every time i looked at a bike i cringed and the people i knew that biked i thought were lame. I eventually go into skateboarding, and I thought i would be in the skating world for life. Actually I still am, but I’ve leaned all my time towards riding fixed gear brakeless bikes. I am getting older every day, every year, and every minute of my life, and i am not one to do big tricks on bikes anymore. Ill be happy to bunny hop over a curb or speed bump maybe with an added bar spin, ride a few wheelies and ride backwards. Lets get straight to the chase. When i was riding bmx i hated roller bladers(fruit booters). There was something about them…hmm lets see they were different. Nobody likes different, or maybe its just me and my get ups. When I picked up skateboarding, i still hated fruits, but I added one more hate to my list, and that was any skater that pushed mongo. Even the good pros that pushed mongo I couldn’t stand to watch their video parts, nor give a fuck whether that did something good or whatever they did for that matter. No that I have been riding brakeless fixed gear I have grown or have started to frown upon single gears. You know the bikes that look like fixies, but still have that single freewheel mechanism that allows the riders to coast. HAHA those people. Now im not saying I hate these people, but when I see a someone riding that i think is riding a fixed gear, and then I see them coast i seem to get slightly upset. Fuck i dont even know why im writing this. I doubt anyone will read it, but if you happen to and have got this far. Please let me know if I am the only one feeling this way?
